This product includes 10 nonfiction reading passages. All passages have numbered lines so that students can practice reading fluently. The numbered lines help you and the students to know how many words they can read. There are two versions of these passages. One version has a fluency box and an adult signature line at the bottom. The other version does not have these elements. I included both so that you can choose the one that works best for your students. There are comprehension questions (with answer keys) for all passages. There is also a fluency graph if you want to track student progress.

This product contains four components:
Fluency Passages - There are ten nonfiction, high-interest passages for students to read. There are two versions of these passages. The first set includes a section for students to record their words read per minute. The second version does not have this section. Many teachers use the first version as homework and the second version in the classroom.
Comprehension Questions - There are comprehension questions for each passage. Questions may be open-ended, multiple choice, or true/false. Answer keys are included for all pages.
Fluency Chart - I included a fluency chart so that students can graph and track their progress. Each graph includes room for students to record their words read per minute on each passage, with room to record their scores up to three times per passage.
Paragraph Summary Sheet - This is a half-page sheet where students can write about what they learned. This is a good option if you would like students to reflect on and summarize their reading.
